Research & Development : the PEPTFlow Project
Quantitative and Qualitative Investigation of the material flow
PEPTFlow is supported by the collective Research Program of the European Community

PEPTFLow is aimed at setting up a new analysis method of the polymer behaviour. PEPT (which means Positron Emission Particles Tracking) is a technology used to observe (and above all quantify) the particles dispersion in the polymer flow.

The Results provided by this new technology will be integrated in the Ludovic software (dedicated to the corotating twin screw extrusion process).

The PEPTFlow project gather Research Institutes, raw material and material producers, additives manufacturers, machineries manufacturers and associations to provide a complete analysis, taking into account the different skills developped in each trade.

The main goals of the PEPTFlow project are closely linked to the SCC principles :

  • Savings of energy and ressources for set up and optimisation of new processes
  • Product Quality enhancement
  • Know How and skills about twin screw extrusion process improvement

For SCC, the goal is also to confront Ludovic with emergent issues about new materials (green product, biopolymer...) and new technologies (nanotubes...)..

The PEPTFlow Workshops

Come to the PEPTFlow Workshops to learn more about the new technologies developped in the Project and see how they will be used in concrete applications. These seminars are free of charge for all participants.

The PEPTFlow Workshops are organized throughout the Europe :

  • Istanbul, Turkey on the 23th of October 2009
  • Verdellino-Zingonia, Italy on the 27th of November 2009
  • Frankfort, Germany on the 9th of December 2009
