For its first participation to the most important plastics exhibition in the USA, SCC has demonstrated the real advantages of its leading edge technology software. SCC has established connections with leading industrials, teachers and researchers from well known universities.

With about 50000 visitors participating at the exhibition, SCC presented to a large audience the Ludovic® and XimeX® software, dedicated to the transformation processes control and product quality improvement.

NEW Release of Ludovic® V5

The software dedicated to corotating twin screw has been presented to american, chinese and german industrials. The new Ludovic® V5 has been well welcomed by compounders and materials manufacturers. Machinery manufacturers are also interested to use Ludovic to improve their screw design.

XimeX new applications

SCC presented some new applications of the XimeX® software. Among them, the particles analysis which calls out a lot industrials and researchers. The dispersive and distributive mixings (carbon fibers and nanotubs as an example)is indeed a key point of many productions. The XimeX® particles analysis is designed to answer such issues in production or R&D fields.

New process in XimeX

The Static mixing process is now available in XimeX®. Designed for viscous products (with laminar or turbulent flow), static mixers are used for water or duff treatment. XimeX® analyses the material behaviour and the mixing efficiency taking into account the geometry design (flights, angle, number of elements...).

SCC presented two technical papers at the prestigious ANTEC scientific conference organised by the SPE. The extrusion session was especially named to present, innovative technologies used in Ludovic® and XimeX®.

Presentation of the use of full 3D simulation software (XimeX®) to observe the impact of geometrical parameters on the flow conditions.
