Alternative energies become an issue for (re)designing industrial processes. Three European projects do a focus on alternative technology for highlighting the existing and developped alternative energies. For a global overview, the Industrial Workshop InnoREX, MPASYN and ALTEREGO is organized in Brussels on March 2nd, 2016 to present their results.

The InnoREX project is dedicated to optimizing the reactive extrusion of PLA by using alternative energie sources. The aim is to to propose a safer process by remoting the heavy catalysts used for the reaction initialization.

The Ludovic software is used for simulating the reaction in corotating twin screw extruder and analyze the impact of the new energie sources on the reaction rate.
